To sushi here is very yummy taste fresh you can tell the sushi chefs enjoy and know what they're doing because the rolls are perfectly rolled. The sashimi is also super yummy and taste very fresh for it being Utah any how. I like that they do happy hours on there sushi and also the drinks are just as great. I will continue to come back

Walked in at 6pm on a Sunday.
Mostly empty bar, restaurant half full. Were told we couldn't enter the restaurant until someone checked our IDs.
We waited 10 minutes standing in the front foyer next to empty seats. We were in full view of the restaurant staff, who weren't able to answer our simple questions about the menu. No one offered to seat us for another 5 minutes so we left. SAD. -

One of my favorite things to do is check out the lunch options in downtown Salt Lake. O'shucks is one of those hidden gems in downtown that most people shy away from because it is a bar. I don't drink but love bar food.
The lunch menu is pretty limited here unless you order sushi from the sushi bar that shares the space. They have a pretty decent hamburger at a price that is not much more than what you'd get at the food court.
The atmosphere is pretty fun. It is intimate and rustic. The service is ok. About what you'd expect from a bar. -

The laws of Utah were a shock to me as an outsider. I needed an I'd to prove I was over 21 to enter the sushi dining since liquor is served. Great sushi chef and fastest sushi guy I've ever seen. The sushi was tasty and the ambiance sub par. I would return for the good sushi. There were so many yummy and unique choices and it was priced competitively.
